Day 10: Fredericksburg to Wimberley
Yahoo! Ride those rollers! 58 miles, about 2,000 vertical ft broken up into short double black diamond ski slopes of speedy downhill runs where you stand on your pedals and tuck, trying to get as far up the next uphill as you can before you have to start pedaling again.

Alan and Charlotte stoke up one of a hundred small hills.
The important thing about today, though, is that weÕre officially halfway across America. It happened somewhere near Blanco, (pronounced like ÒankleÓ in proper Texan twang). ItÕs a great feeling, though most rider comments were something like: ÒAll this pedaling and only half way?Ó

Matt, Alan, Claire, Patty, Jane, Stu, Norman, and Terri lunch near the halfway point on the steps of the Blanco County Courthouse
Despite all that pedaling (or because of it), weÕre giddy and energetic. Jerry, in particular, may need to be sent home after being spotted trying on KathleenÕs sag costume.

Jerry in his sag queen attire with the newest, strictly off-the-record, unofficial, not-Board sanctified Heartcycle sign.
Last, but not least, itÕs CarolÕs birthday; so weÕre headed to a local winery for dinner celebration (forgetting for the moment that we have 200 miles to cover in the next 2 days). Happy birthday Carol!
