Day 8: Leakey to Fredericksburg

Wow!  What a day.  85 miles, basically flat (with the standard Hill Country rollers) down the Guadalupe River, through Kerrville, and north to Fredericksburg pushed by a gentle tailwind.

Folks are tired from eight straight days of riding (and according to Jerry ÒgettinÕ a little crankyÓ), but today was the prettiest so far and left us for tomorrowÕs rest day in a nice little German-ancestry resort town full of limestone-masonry buildings, boutique shops, and Admiral NimitzÕs birthplace (hence also the Museum of the Pacific War).

The tough life of the fastest rider on the ride: Rich takes a nap along the road (waiting for the rest of us to catch up).
