Come tour the spectacular mountain passes of the California Sierra Nevada mountain range on this 10 day tour.   Starting and ending conveniently in Reno NV, our first day will give us a chance to warm up as we head out of Reno to Topaz Lake over gentle rolling high desert terrain with views of the stark rocky Eastern Sierra.  After that the climbing begins as we head over Monitor Pass and into the heart of the Sierra Nevada’s.  The views change dramatically into the tall pines and aspen of the Sierras as we ride through some of the most beautiful high mountain scenery anywhere on earth.   This tour takes us over Ebbets Pass and Carson Pass both designated scenic byways because of their pristine beauty.   We’ll enjoy a rest day in the resort destination of the beautiful Lake Tahoe, the second largest freshwater lake in the US.  You will not believe how blue this lake is.   Stops along the way also include the ski resorts of Kirkwood and Bear Valley and our last night at a lovely spa hotel in the historic town of Truckee.   This tour includes a lot of climbing but that doesn’t mean you have to be the king of the mountain to enjoy this ride.   We’ve purposely kept the mileage within very reasonable limits so that anyone with merely human climbing skills and a desire to see the beauty of the Sierra Nevada up close and personal should be able to comfortably complete this tour.
